Re-breed guarantee
We stand behind every transaction on findmystuddog.com. If a breeding does not result in pregnancy or does not meet the minimum litter count specified in the listing, you may be eligible for a re-breed. Here is everything you need to know.
Failed pregnancy
Your female was inseminated but did not become pregnant. You will need a written statement from a licensed veterinarian documenting that, based on an ultrasound, x-ray, or examination. File within 70 days of the last insemination under your booking.
Eligible for re-breedMinimum litter count not met
The seller's listing specified a minimum litter count and the litter produced fell below that number, confirmed by a signed litter examination from a licensed veterinarian. You must file within 14 days of whelping.
Eligible for re-breedIf your female does not conceive, or produces a litter below the minimum number of live puppies set on the listing, you are entitled to one repeat breeding to the same stud. Every listing carries this guarantee. Stud owners cannot opt out of it and cannot decline a re-breed you are entitled to, and FMSD does not investigate why a breeding failed.
Stud fee
Waived on the re-breed order. You will not be charged again for the stud.
Shipping
Calculated at time of re-breed order. Standard rates apply.
Collection cost
Charged at the seller's standard collection rate.
Female
May be applied to the original female or an alternate female at your discretion.
Claim window
70 days from the last insemination if she did not conceive. 14 days from whelping for a litter below the minimum.
Entitlement
Good for 24 months from the first shipment date, so it survives more than one heat cycle.
What the re-breed does NOT cover
- Shipment or carrier failures. Those are handled under the Dispute and Refund Policy, which may return your stud fee rather than provide a re-breed
- A booking where the stud fee has already been refunded. You receive one or the other, never both
- Claims filed outside the applicable window
- Claims filed without veterinary documentation
- A second re-breed. One per booking, and the entitlement expires 24 months after the first shipment date
- A cash refund if the stud can no longer be bred. If the stud has been retired, sold, or is medically unable to collect, the obligation ends. The owner may offer another stud from his program and you are free to accept or decline, with no effect either way. A stud who is simply booked is not unavailable, and your re-breed carries to your female's next cycle within the 24 months
Get veterinary documentation
Obtain a written statement from a licensed veterinarian confirming no pregnancy via ultrasound, x-ray, or official written statement, within 70 days of the last insemination. For litter count claims, obtain written documentation of the whelping within 14 days of it.

Our team reviews your documentation and contacts the veterinarian of record to verify. You will receive an email with the outcome.
Re-breed entitlement activated
If approved, your re-breed entitlement is stored on your account. There is nothing more to do right now. Your female needs to return to heat before the re-breed can be scheduled, typically 5 to 7 months after the original shipment. The entitlement is good for 24 months from the first shipment date.
Activate when ready
When your female returns to heat, log into your account and activate your re-breed entitlement. A re-breed order will be generated and the seller will be notified to coordinate shipment. Shipping and collection fees apply at checkout.
Stud availability: Re-breeds are subject to stud availability. If the original stud is unavailable during your requested window, the seller may offer a comparable stud from their program. The re-breed may also be applied to an alternate female if that helps with scheduling. If you have difficulty coordinating, contact us and we will help facilitate.
Re-breed entitlements expire after 24 months from the date of the first shipmetn. This gives you two full heat cycles to schedule your re-breed. If your entitlement is not activated within 24 months it will expire and no further claim is available. Contact us early if you are having difficulty scheduling.
One re-breed per transaction: The re-breed represents the complete platform remedy for a failed pregnancy or minimum litter count shortfall. Buyers who decline the re-breed waive any further claims arising from that transaction.
