The Problem We Solved
Finding a stud used to mean scrolling through endless social media posts and photos trying to find the right match for your female – the right breed, the right coat genetics, the right health profile, the right location. Then chasing down health records that may or may not exist. Then the unanswered messages, the sellers who couldn’t produce documentation, the anxiety of sending payment with nothing but goodwill that you will get the shipment.
The process was fragmented, unprotected, and built entirely on trust. For breeders who take their programs seriously, that wasn’t good enough.
Why We Built This
We built FindMyStudDog.com to solve two specific problems.
The first is discovery. Finding a stud that matches what you are actually looking for – breed, shipped or live cover, health testing, location, availability, and coat genetics – should take minutes, not days. FMSD gives you real filtering tools so you can find the right match without the noise.
The second is protection. Both sides of a stud service transaction deserve accountability. Buyers deserve verified health documentation and payment protection. Sellers deserve to know they will get paid. FMSD tracks the shipment, holds funds in escrow, keeps all communication on the record, and provides a formal dispute process if something goes wrong. No more handshake agreements with no recourse.

Our Philosophy on Health Testing
Every stud listed on FMSD has verified health documentation on file. We require at minimum a genetic panel and one health evaluation – not because that’s where the bar ends, but because it’s where accountability begins. No documentation, no listing. Period.
Beyond that floor, every buyer can filter and search for the specific clearances that matter to their program. Health tests and results are displayed on every listing so you can see exactly what was tested and what the result was – and make the decision that’s right for your breeding program. The tools are here. The standard you hold is yours to set.
The breeding community holds a wide range of views on what responsible health testing looks like – and those views differ by breed, by program, and by personal standard. We respect that. What we don’t accommodate is the absence of testing entirely. If you list on FMSD, you have put in the work. What that work looks like beyond the minimum is between you, your veterinarian, and the buyers you work with.

We are John and Whitney – breeders who built this because we lived the frustration firsthand. We know what it takes to do this right.
